Introducing Me   (7.7-7.16.00)

Here is some ink that i'm putting down for you.
Here are some lines, and a swirl, or two.

Introducing my world of pseudo-cursive-print
where every letter is laid to be meant.

This is the slant that'd give me away
if you've ever seen how my paper lays.

Here is a meter that's headed your way
and a lackadaisical rhyme you don't get everyday.

Here is my rhythm, my arcs and my curves.
A mosaic for you of pronouns and verbs.

And i put them down so you may know me
a presenting of self, a giving of me.
                                            (and i want to)

    If i communicate right
         then maybe...
we will again engage that flow
the current of you and me.
(cuz that's what i like, right there.)

    Now...
What you will do with these sayings
and what you will do with these words
i may never know
but happily, i'll watch it all unfold.
(as greatness does not come in a rush.)

               You excite me, entice me
                intrigue and move me.

So Chris, my poet-peer, let this be
some paper, for you, that's full of me.
